Three quick sequencer questions (no answers in manual)

Post by sawsinepulse » Wed Jun 22, 2016 7:46 pm

Considering purchasing a MM32 but had two questions -- I've looked through the manual but can't find the answers --

1) When setting up a sequence, can you enter the notes from an external MIDI or CV keyboard, or only through the on-board keyboard?

2) Can you switch sequences on the fly (playing live)? If so, does the next sequence start when the current sequence ends, or immediately when you press the button to switch?

3) Assuming you can switch sequences live -- If the first sequence is being transposed by an external MIDI keyboard, will the next sequence adopt that transposition if the MIDI key is being held down? (That is, I have two sequences, A and B, both written in C, but at the moment I switch sequences sequence A is being transposed by an external MIDI keyboard to, say, F, will the next sequence also be in F, assuming I keep the key held down?)

Thanks for any help -- as said, I looked through the manual but couldn't find any answers -

Hi sawsinepulse,
An external MIDI source behaves the same as MIDI via the onboard key-buttons. Except that Velocity (via an external MIDI source) can be used to record Accents (Velocities >95 = Accent On).

Yes. Sequences change at the end of the current sequence.

No (to the best of my knowledge). Each new sequence plays at its originally-recorded transposition.
