Urgent-Slim Phatty OSC2 and PW not calibrating correctly

Post by Hamudi2000 » Mon Jun 20, 2016 5:44 am

Hi, first of all, I wanna say hello to this forum as a new member :)

I just bought a SP second hand. I did all the calibration routines several times after warming the SP up for 45 mins but it´s still not right.
OSC2 detune only goes up about 3 semitones but down 8 semitones. If I choose a Pitch Bend range of +12 and -12 I´ll get a range of +9 and -15, so for a whole tone up I gotta choose a +5 pich bend range.
I realized that the SP seems to try to correct the tuning tables in the calibration process but it the range it can calibrate is not high enough ( the middle digits on the LCD are going all the way down to 0 on some calibrations and then it goes to the next step) which seems a bit odd to me. Allthough it says "calibration successfull" at the end.
Is there a way to reset the whole LUT via a sys ex file or a way to tweak an internal CV range pot?
As I´m in Germany I cannot send he unit directly to Moog unfortunately.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Cheers,
Muhammed

Hi Hammudi2000! Welcome to the forum, mate.

Sorry to read about your problem. You can e-mail Andy[at]moogmusic[dot]com, he works as a service manager.
He’s also reachable through this forum as being the member Control_Voltage.

Hope this helps :)
