Weird tracking issue with AS RS95e

Post by Otium » Fri May 06, 2016 11:03 am

Hi!

I just bought a M32 and I already have some Eurorack modules, for example the RS95e as a VCO. I wanted to use it as 2nd VCO with the M32 but I had to find out that it doesn't track well . Not even for two notes. I use my Eurorack for quite some time now without any issues. It tracks well with the Intellijel µScale v2 and with my Microbrute. But not with the M32. My Bubblesound uLFO however tracks perfectly with everything - also with the M32.
Now I took a volt meter to see where the error lies. Turns out everything is perfect - voltage wise. When the µScale puts out 0.00 V or 3.00 V I get a perfect C each time. But with the Mother at 0.00 V I get a perfect C but at 3.00 V it's way off C. The tuning starts drifting from the first note after 0.00 V even when the voltage is perfect. But just between the M32 and the RS95e. Everything else seems to be fine. I used lots of different cables (yes, also the Moog ones).
What could it be?

cheers,
Alex
