Hi there
I have just bought the Electric Blue. Today the Voyager started shifting presets very quickly by itself, just like when you are rotating the external knob in the mixer-section. I tried to unplug the power and waited an hour before turning it on again. After a couple of minutes it started shifting presets again. There's no MIDI connected.
OS 3.1. Any suggestions or is it a repair?
Sincerely
Klaus

Re: Strange error with programshifts
Try this - In the PANEL function, go to menu item 2.2, "Ext. Audio Pot controls Preset No?" and select NO. This will turn off the pot's ability to change the preset.klausp wrote:Hi there

If the problem goes away, then the Ext Audio Pot (or the underlying electronics) is probably faulty. If not, you have a different problem. In either case, I suggest you contact Moog for more assistance here.

Thank you
I really like the Voyager. Actually it´s my 5th Minimoog. In the 80's I had 4 different Minimoogs, 3 with the old oscillatorboard and 1 with the new board. Unfortunately I sold them all (in the 80's when I got kids and finished my study etc.). The 3 with the old oscillatorboards were amazing, but I think the Voyager sounds just as great as the old Minimoogs. The 7 x 128 programmable presets are GREAT. And the stability of the oscillators (and the extra oscillator) are very good. My favorite old Minimmog had to be turned on at least 4 hours before it was stable enough to be used at stage with the heat from the lights, and still I had to tune it before every song. The touch, feel and sound of the Voyager reminded me of the old days as soon as I tried it. I was never in doubt - I just had to buy one of these.
