Getting no Midi input from external devices

Hi all

Have a rather confusing situation here and wonder if anyone else has come across this?

My mother generally works fine, but if I plug a midi cable in I get the start/stop signal, but nothing else. I've tried everything, in Logic, Ableton, even direct to a midi keyboard. I've changed the midi channel on the unit, changed midi cables, turned it off and on countless times. Another thing I've noticed is that the midi input light never lights up.

Any input, suggestions or even better a working solution would be greatly appreciated! Really don't fancy sending another new Moog off for repair...

It was a loose wire in the inside, problem sorted
