I'm running Ableton Live 9.5 (32-bit) on Windows 7 (64-bit). I manually copied the 32-bit DLL files to my VST plugins directory but neither DLL is showing up in my plugins. I tried rescanning from within Ableton but still no luck. I have several other VST editors for other hardware synths, one of which required manually copying the DLL's also but I have never had this problem before.
I found another post from somebody with the same issue and they said renaming the DLL's filenames worked for him:

I tried his advice but it didn't work for me. He was using Ableton Live 9.5 also but he's using 64-bit, apparently the fix doesn't work with 32-bit.

Re: Sub Phatty Editor (x86) VSTs not showing up in Windows 7
Hi there,
just bought a new sub phatty;)
BUT ...i´m having exactly the same issue. I´m using Windows 10 x64 with Ableton 9.6.1 x86.
The VST SubPhattyEditor x86 and SubPhattyEditorVI x86 are not showing up in Abletons Plug In Browser.
Also renamed the DLL´s and also placed the x64 Versions into the folder (i thought maybe files were accidently renamed, ...i know the x64 compiled DLL´s cannot be accessed by a x86 EXE)
The standalone Installer is working fine.
But i´m really upset VST´s are not working!
best,
Florian
