Sub 37 hardware problem?

Post by TheFlowerKings » Sun Sep 13, 2015 9:21 am

Hi

I have a big problem with my Sub 37. I really can´t use it with my DAW (Logic 10.1-10.2) since the hanging notes destroy every creative mood.

Here is my setup internally in the Sub 37.

MIDI MENU

Ch In 1 / Out 16, send prg off, rcv prg on, in/out ports DIN (I have tried Both and USB but with the same result), Echo DIN off, output filter keys, whl and panel on, knb CC, CC format 7 bit, clock option send clock off, st/stp off, follow spp on ... did I miss some important parameters?

GLOBAL MENU

Local ALL off notes, whl & panal, seq options Latch restart off, midi output keys,

I got the latest Sub 37 Firmware 1.10. I even re-installed it to be sure.

The hanging notes appears randomly and for this reason it´s very hard to find what causing the problems.
I have also turned off every latch function in every Sub 37 patch. And it goes without saying, I´ve tried different cables.

Hanging notes may appear when changing patches while playing notes in the same time but also when tweaking knobs on the Sub 37. It can show up when the DAW is running or being stopped.
Logic is sending out Quantized clock start based on pattern length. But as I said the problems were there before 10.2. So a normal Spp at play start makes no difference.

I have some other synths like Moog Voyager cv controlled by a SQ-1, Minibrute, Microbrut, Nordlead 4, Nord Electro 4, Evolver, Tetra and a modular system with Make Noise/Verbos modules . They are all working perfectly. Both in sync and without hanging notes. (Should be saying some synths are connected via USB some via the DIN interface. The MIDI interface I use is MIDIMAN Midisport 4x4.

I seriously begin to think this is a hardware problem.

Amos any ideas?

Best
