Tonight I saw a minuscule critter walk across the LCD, and then another.. and when I looked more closely at that part of the synth, I saw several other almost-microscopic animals crawling over my synth. About 1/4-1/3 of a mm. About a dozen in total.
Not sure what's going on. None of my other gear seems to be attracting non-human attention like this, so I wonder whether the wooden end cheeks may be attracting stuff? My room too has never been invaded by anything in any numbers..
Maybe I should let them nibble the wood for a while.. may increase the resale price in 50 years' time ?
Anybody else seen such microscopic beasties crawling over their baby?

Oh my god. This post was so creepy!
I always been more carefull about dust than insects. Don't know what could bring them on your synth.

Re: Anything edible (to insects) inside Sub 37?
I'm afraid this post is gonna get a bit more creepy.. this morning I discovered that a whole corner of my room is crawling with them.. and, after half an hour of searching, discovered the source to be a dead pigeon chick in a nest in a climbing plant which adorns the front of our house. You gotta love nature to put up with this! I suggested to my girlfriend that the plant (which hosts bird nests most years) could be cut down.. you can guess what the reply was.
Any synth nerd/biologists reading this who can tell us what these critters most likely are (mites, ticks, .. ?)
At least the Sub 37 clearly isn't a source of food for them, so that's a relief.

I heard moog put a ham sandwich inside every one.
