This seems somehow impossible, but it's happening.
I'm using Ableton, and using it's External Instrument plugin to connect the Moog to Ableton.
I get a sound that I like, I play with for a bit, then put an EQ on the track, and suddenly the Volume Attack is much longer and the Filters Cutoff is lower.
I take the EQ off, put the settings back. It sounds fine. I put the EQ on again, and the same thing happens.
I take the EQ off, put the setting back again, put on a different effect (I've tried most of Ableton's native plugins as well as many non-native plugins), and still the same thing happens.
It's not the exact same amount of Attack and Filter every time. It switches up.
This is really annoying. Anyone ever have the same problem? Or know how to fix it?
Settings randomly changing
Re: Settings randomly changing
I've noticed that the voyager is very sensitive with CC messages (it rx/tx on a LOT of channels). I'm not sure how to do it in ableton, but, in Logic, I've found that sometimes I can accidentally record a random CC message (turning a knob on another MIDI device while the voyager's track is highlighted) to the Voyager's track and that can cause some strange havoc like random modulations. I've actually had to trash my preferences and create a new template before because of this.
So, in short, check to see that the DAW isn't sending CCs and be aware when the moog track is highlighted/in record mode.

Try downloading a free MIDI Monitor app that shows all MIDI messages (including CC#s) to see who's sending what.
For Mac it's: MIDI Monitor by Snoise
For PC (last time I checked) it's: MIDI OX
A quick look at the MIDI Implementation Chart for the Voyager will show you what CC#s are associated with each parameter.
