"The Operating System Has To Be Reloaded."

Post by panthersgold » Mon Feb 09, 2015 12:45 am

Hi there. My apologies if this has already been asked.

I haven't used my voyager for a couple of years and am very rusty on the details. I am preparing to sell it, actually, and am checking that everything works. It plays normally (it should do, I barely used it!) but I am getting an odd message on startup. It read "The operating system has to be reloaded. Reload Bank D? (Y/N). I choose no to this, as I'm not sure what to do. I've not had the synth attached to anything except a power socket and a set of headphones, so not sure why I should be getting this. Really I just want to resolve it as soon as I can so I can prepare to sell it.

Reload the entire OS from the Moog support page in the order it says to do it on that site. It is not intuitive the order.

I don't have a midi interface. How do I achieve this? I'm also not clear on why it is asking me to do it in the first place? The thing is only attached to headphones and a power socket. Why would I need to reload the OS??

You will need to borrow a MIDI setup then. It is asking for it because something got corrupted, most likely.
