Hello there,
I have a problem with my Voyager XL and it concerns the envelope generators.
The problem is, so far as I can tell, identical for both E.G.s but I’ll describe it for the volume E.G.
The attack knob makes no difference to the sound. The screen shows a changing value – so you still get the Memory / Actual values, with the “Actual” value changing as you move the control but the sound stays exactly the same.
The attack function is now transferred to the decay knob. So if you twist the decay knob you see the “Actual” value for the decay changing but the change in the sound is the attack – not the decay!
There is no decay function – that’s lost now. So the E.G. is, in effect, now Attack-Sustain-Release.
As I say, the filter envelope is exactly the same.
I have tried external gating, re-loading the factory date, resetting the pot mapping, envelope triggering – everything! I’ve re-loaded the operating system.
Nothing changes.
I know it seems like a user error or a software glitch, but having reset everything in sight and STILL having the problem I’m now thinking that it’s a hardware fault.
I’m sending this to Moog as well as posting it here but if anyone has come across this sort of thing before and / or got any suggestions of what might be wrong, please do let me know.
Many thanks for your attention.

Hello, 10 years later, did you ever discover the culprit behind this? I am having the EXACT issue with a standard voyager

Re: E.G.s - a problem with the attack / decay functions.
very often I got these broken TI chips in the ADSR circuits: U7/U29 (4052), U8/U30 (TL074), U44 (4013), U13 (LM339) or U28/U32 (4053). I guess one or more is/are broken.
