Running audio through the Minitaur in Logic Pro X

After recently purchasing and enjoying the fat sounds on the Moog Minitaur I thought it was time to start processing some audio loops through the synth. And have run into numerous problems in the process.

More often than not there's a lot of noise in the signal, and seems to be a very temperamental set up, sometimes I can hear the audio and sometimes not - without any difference in the way I've set things up. I was getting a lot of noise from the USB connection (on a Macbook Pro) so I've since disconnected that. I'm running an audio signal from my headphone out on my Apogee Duet which doubles up as a second output, into the Moog Minitaur and then back out again and into input 1 on the Duet. I'm using balanced jacks.

I've got a sustained midi note playing back on the GM channel, with the VCO's on the Minitaur turned down, envelopes and filter fully open.

The most frustrating thing is the audio sounds awesome and warm when I run it through the Moog - bar for the noise which renders the audio unusable.

Anyone who's got any advice here would be a massive help - I'm using logic pro X.

I've recently started experimenting with the audio through as well. Try turning down the amp sustain knob as far as you can while still being able to hear what you want.

Turning down the amp sustain didn't make any difference?

Someone on Gearslutz suggested using a Radial DI box to eradicate the noise ...

I actually got much cleaner audio just then using Izotope RX4 denoiser, and running a noise profile before reducing it, which decreased the noise quite a bit.

Really wanna get to the bottom of this , as running beats - especially kick drums - through the Minitaur gives them such a nice warmth.
