Voyager RME Filter B not working and Osc1 out of tune.

Post by soulstar108 » Mon Apr 14, 2014 6:59 pm

Switched my RME on today after quite a while and found that filter B wasn't working at all,
sound only coming from right output, tried changing the poles but none of them work,
the spacing knob has no effect nor the filter mode switch.
Also Osc1 scaling is off and out of tune in higher registers.
Pretty disappointed as I've barely used this synth since I bought it in 2012,
Conversely I fired up my battered 1978 Multimoog today for the 1st time in years and after tuning it works a treat.

Anyway to fix this without having to send it off ?

I had a new Voyager that was like this. It was under warranty so the analogue board was replaced.
It probably needs to go to an authorised tech for repair.
I have a funny feeling that voyagers (and other synths) need to be used regularly rather than sporadically to keep them in shape and dry inside...

Eden.

Update, thankfully I bought my RME from Thomann.de 2.5 years ago and they have a 3 year warranty, so my synth was shipped to them free of charge and the analogue board replaced, great service ! :D
