Minitaur Editor crashing upon startup

I have a brand new Minitaur but when I try installing the editor it crashes upon startup. Im using Win XP SP3. I thought it might be the PC, but I tried installing on a different PC and the same thing happened.

I have a Mac and it works OK there, but I need to install it on my netbook PC (which has Win XP) for the gig.

Any suggestions? I'd really like to get this working asap. Thanks

PS. The error doesn't contain much info, just typical Microsoft "Minitaur Editor.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

i have exactly the same issue, win7 ultim 64 bit.

little bit more info: the first time a new exe files opened, then this problem,
when i downloaded new editor and executed, the first tiem worked,
second time not but worked when running as administrator in win7
but after that also running as admin did not help
in between when i could open the exe, i could check presets and they communicated with the minitaur
now when i stop cubase and start again my initial sound is gone but when i press the osc 2 button and slide button at the same time , the sound is back
will try to see hwther i have rev 2 but its hard to imagine this affects the opening of the exe file.
