moogerfoogers and cv
ok we had talks before about how you can use the 251 to process audio as well as cv
i wanted to ask if you can use the mf style units to process cv as well as audio?
maybe use the delay to delay the lfo, as is a common control on synths.
or use the LPF to smooth out a square lfo.
I thought it would work as the foogers ae designed to process the whole audio range they might go down to the lfo range as well

Re: moogerfoogers and cv
Any circuit used to process a CV would have to be direct coupled i.e. no capacitors in the signal path. I don't know if the 'Foogers are designed that way.godzilla wrote:ok we had talks before about how you can use the 251 to process audio as well as cv

Since Moog has never suggested using 'Foogers in this manner, I'd guess it's because they can't process CVs as you describe. That said, why not contact Moog Music and find out?

One time I tried sampling the MF102's LFO with my MPC1000 with no success. but still, when the LFO's cycle reached the highest frequency range I was able to get some sort of modulation recorded to the MPC. Probably the MPC's input has some sort of highpass filter?......Anyway, I'm wondering if this would work with my Boss DD5...Interesting.
EDIT:
I just tried sampling the the MF102/103's LFO with the 104z, and i got some crazy, funky results using the 102's carrier as my source sound......you guys should try it out!
