Keyboard stand for Sub Phatty
Keyboard stand for Sub Phatty
Hi there,
I have been looking for quite a while for a good keyboard stand for the sub phatty.
Since the Sub is not so wide a lot of stands do not really fit the Sub.
I have finally found a perfect one and wanted to share this to maybe simplify your search for one!
The KS400B from hercules is sturdy, well made and fits perfectly:

The MIX400 looks cool for punky gigs, but it may be difficult to plug anything in the Phatty as the connections are located on the side...

I just got a standard Quiklok stand, which works fine. I did get a double-decker one (T-22 model), because I also use a pedal board with my Sub Phatty.

^Which pedal board?^
Good thread.
I used to use the QuikLok with a board across it because I put a little mixer next to it for effects and the louder headphone amp. The on-board headphone jack can't keep up with the drummer I stand next to. Using the board lets you set the legs wider which feels more stable to me. However, it also lowers the stand to the point where it looks like I'm looking down all of the time. Sooo, I moved the SubP to the second tier which is naturally narrower. This lets me tilt it towards me which is nice and keeps my head up. The mixer and whatnot stays on a board below.

PedalTrain 1, which is about as wide as the Sub Phatty.CleverConQueso wrote:^Which pedal board?^
I also mounted a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus underneath the pedal board, which powers both my pedals and the Sub Phatty (via the AC outlet on the Pedal Power 2 Plus), so I only need one outlet for the whole rig.

I am using one of these
. Fits flush, sturdy and it is cheap. Obviously not for gigs though.

Pedalboard - I suppose I meant, which pedals... Just curious. Apologies to the thread but we're all friends here.
Re: Keyboard stand for Sub Phatty
Still working on it. Right now I have a Stereo Pulsar, Stereo Polychorus and Cathedral on there. But let's get the thread back to its topic. There are other threads for pedals.
