Cannot play sub phatty through presonus studio one.

I have a real problem trying to play my s.p through studio one. Is there a software editor that you are supposed to down load? i can play the s.p through soft synths like massive, albino e.t.c but not on its own through studio one. Nothing registers with the program. Any help would be appreciated.

do you have an audio interface for your computer? unlike a soft synth, where all the sound exists "virtually" within the computer, in the case of the Sub Phatty you need to connect the synth's audio output to an audio input on your computer (usually a separate audio interface with 1/4" inputs; there are lots of these at all price points).

Then you create an audio track in Studio One, and set up the audio track so it's recording whatever audio input the Sub Phatty is plugged into.

I am sure Studio One has some tutorials on "how do I record an external synth" somewhere...
oh hey, let me google that for you...

actually these links remind me, in setup you do want to create a "new keyboard" and "new instrument" representing the Sub's setup in Studio One. Then you still need to record the audio as above.

I hope this helps!

Amos is right you have to setup your sub with new keyboard and new instrument.

make sure you also setup your audio card. So whatever input you set your sub say channel 3, when setting up the instrument always pick that channel.

I could send you a template if you like on how i do it.
