Sub Phatty//Logic 9 connectivity issue

Post by nickmo88 » Wed Jun 12, 2013 6:28 am

Hi all, weird issue I'm having; my moog sub phatty mutes in Logic whenever I move the Osc2 wave knob, but it works just fine in standalone. Also one of the modulation knobs will randomly delete some of my other tracks in Logic when I move it. Any ideas of what could be going wrong in Logic?

Cheers,
Nick

Logic is responding to the SP and it's knobs as if it where a control surface, well it kind of is since every parameter knob is outputting midi controller data not sys ex. So my question is how do you easily make Logic not respond to controller data the kind that the SP is outputting ?

When I move the osc2 knob off the starting position (all the way left), the moog mutes in logic. not quite sure I get what you're asking?

I sounds like Logic is set up to mute upon receipt of that controller number. Try either changing the channel that Logic receives control parameters for transport and such or changing/disabling that controller number for mute.

Another possibility is that there are clashes with messages coming in and out of the Sub. You might also try to turn Local Mode off on the Sub.
