Hi All,
My name is Lowboy and I am new to the forum. I look forward to participating. I own a Voyager Anniversary Edition, bought and sold a Slim Phatty, and just purchased a Little Phatty Stage 2 about 2 weeks ago. The Little Phatty is simply awesome. I was hoping my first post was going to be in praise of Moog's well written user guides. (I am a technical writer by day.) However, I turned on my Little Phatty Stage 2 tonight and immediately after the boot screens I got the following error message: "LPUSB Invalid. Send LPUSB Sysx." I have yet to even connect a midi or USB cable to the keyboard. I completed a "master reboot." I completed a "factory restore." I rebooted the keyboard by shutting it off and turning it on about a dozen times. Each time I still get the error message. As soon as I touch the Cursor or Enter or Preset buttons, the error message goes away. Otherwise the keyboard seem to work and sound fine. I am hoping this is not a big issue. Does anyone have any advice on this issue? Hopefully my second posting will be about how great Moog products are.
Regards,
Lowboy
New Little Phatty with LPUSB Invalid Error Message
Re: New Little Phatty with LPUSB Invalid Error Message
Both Sweetwater and Moog tried to help me today with my problem. I have to say that Sweetwater's sales support and technical support is wonderful. I am a discriminating customer (some salesmen would say a difficult customer) and have had several problems with new equipment or deliveries over the past several years. Sweetwater has always backed up their sales and service without question. Anyway, after a conference call with Sweetwater and Moog technicians, and attempts to reinstall software/flash firmware, it appears there could be several problems with the LP. So it looks like Sweetwater will replace the unit since it is only two weeks old. Thanks Moog and Sweetwater. I can't wait for the new one to arrive and to participate on the forum with more positive thoughts and questions.
