Hi - I have a MPC1000 (1k) and my AE is 'on order'. The 1k is good as a overall package but if you look at the individual components (sampler/sequencer/production box) none of them excel.

The midi sequencer will be fine on your Voyager but the editing is a little limited. For example, you can not edit individual notes but rather have to Copy, Paste, then delete the original. Not too bad but annoying all the same.

Im pretty sure the 1k will okay with all your Voyager CC recording but again, you will not be able to efficiently edit this stuff once recorded.

I have mine for live use - composing in Cubase then exporting WAV loops and midi tracks. The MPCs are great for assigning track mutes to the 16 pads and then trigging them 'live'.

Feel free to ask more questions. There a okay(ish) forum at: http://www.mpc-forums.com/index.php
