Hi guys,
I bought my first Moog the other day which is my first analogue synth, it's taking a little bit of time to get my head around,
but I've been experiencing a few problems and a few things I'm not sure if I should be concerned about.
If anyone has any advice, solutions etc to any of these it'd be greatly appreciated!
When I first got it I had a few problems but i think these have mostly been ironed out with an OS update and a new MIDI interface, but I'll include them just incase.
1. Notes getting stuck, the Moog generally freezing up if any parameters were changed starting from fresh or a preset.
2. All of the presets had this double note thing, a note when a key is pressed and a different one when the note was lifted, sometimes on random presets, sometimes on all of them.
3. This was the main problem, randomly the whole Moog would go into a strange mode where everything just sounded odd, and wouldn't reset, like this...

These problems haven't come back since I updated the OS and replaced the MIDI interface, except one time a note got stuck randomly and a couple of the double note things came up on presets that didn't used to have that, but this was random, before it would always be activated by changing a parameter.
Most of the issues have gone now but there are a couple of others I'm concerned about.
4. before when I was using it I was just going out of the headphone socket, since fixing the above problems I've got it running through Logic and have found when going through my Apogee Duet into Logic all of the pots create clicks when turned, that sound like the clicks on an ipod's touch wheel thing and it's audible in recordings. This isn't there when i go thought the Moog's headphone out, so is this normal? What could be the problem?
5. For some reason adjusting oscillator 1's wave form acts as a mute button for its audio track in Logic, which is kind of odd and annoying so some MIDI info is getting mixed up somewhere, any ideas?
6. Not a big deal, but figured I'd list it anyway, the first 30 or so presets in bank A are all messed up, they don't sound right and the names are all messed up, weird shapes etc, but those problems are just on those presets and flicking past them it becomes fine.
I bought this secondhand so I'm just a bit wary as I don't want to be buying something that has anything wrong with it, I want it to last for a very long time.
