ANIMOOG SEQUENCING NOOB.

Post by C0NRAD » Fri Jul 27, 2012 11:46 pm

First off, i've poked around the forum and i dunno if THIS question was asked. So here goes.
I've discovered my love for synths and am ready to take the plunge in creating my own tracks and what not... I've STRICTLY been using animoog for pretty much everything... Started off sequencing in Garageband iOS and almost all other iOS based sequencers. So, heres the big question : is there ANY way i can record directly into Garageband on iMac?
Im sincerely trying to learn everying i can on the subject, but it's hard since my job demands so many hours. So forgive me if this question seems super noobish... I've tried the midiO thingnposted a while back, and that worked for me... But the audio was coming out of my ipad rather than recording into garageband. I don't care what i have to get, i'll do anything at this point. I can't give up on animoog after creating so many presets.
Any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated. Lke i said before... I'm just now entering the world of synth, so i really don't know how basic this question is.

Oh yeah, gear is ipad 2, animoog, Carbon 49 midi controller and pretty much every other sequencer the App store can offer.

are you just trying to record the sound of animoog directly into garageband? If so just get a cable that has 1/8" plugs on both ends and run one out of your ipads headphone jack into the iMacs line in jack then turn on track monitoring in garageband and plug in your headphones into your iMacs headphone jack. I do this a lot.

Man, i'm new at this... So I always assume it will be something so intricate and involved... And not just one cable. I owe you my first born son.
