Banks not switching as per manual

Figured I would post a new topic to make it easier to find if anybody else is has a similar problem in the future. The manual says that in panel mode you can cycle through banks a-g by holding down cursor and then +/-. When I hold down cursor my moog switches to a certain patch and says "Compare" above the screen. I switched to quick mode and then nothing happens when i hold down cursor and hit +/-.

I just did a factory reset and I am wondering if all the banks didn't load or something.

Have you ever been able to do this before you reset the synth? Early Voyagers only had one bank and you must send it to Moog for the upgrade for more memory and a slew of other mods to get the a-g banks.
