Potentiometers w/LED rings?

Post by Titus Raindrops » Thu Apr 05, 2012 1:42 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows whether the Little Phatty/Slim Phatty potentiometer assemblies with the LED rings are available for sale commercially? I am looking for something that works the way they do for a DIY project... It doesn't have to be THE exact part (although that would be great) but something that provides LED feedback of the current knob setting.

Good question and while I don't have an answer, I have to say that the Phatty's pots with the RAC are a spendid design. If you only want to illuminate an LED based on 'hard' knob position, I'm sure that is doable. But as you likely know, the various pot modes (absolutely, snap, the way it catches up to the knob) are all controled within the firmware I believe).

You should call tech support and beg them for the parts or failing that, ask who the supplier is along with part #.

Once you get it, please let me know : )

I wouldn't expect Moog to reveal their sources of components. This kind of information is normally confidential in a business.
