using mpc-1000 w/ voyager

Post by sepukku » Mon Jan 10, 2005 3:24 pm

I am thinking about buying an mpc-1000 and was wondering if anyone here has used one with a voyager. I mainly want it to function as a midi controller with the voyager. I also wondered if it could control the modulation of the voyager's touch pad. Please get back to me if you know anything about this.

peace,
adam

these are the best ways i can think of to hook up voyager to mpc 1000.

1.use the mpc to sequence the voyager.

u will want to input notes from the voyager into the mpc as midi information, so u'll need midi in from mpc to voyager midi out and voyager midi in to mpc midi out.u are basically using the mpc as a midi sequencer same as you would a software sequencer like logic. you will be able to record any movements from the touchpad or any other voyager control into the mpc as midi controller data.

2.sample the notes into the mpc and sequence them by hitting the mpc pads.

3.i would get some midi computer software such as logic/cubase so u can record it all as audio for mixing and processing.
