Hey all,
Maybe someone can educate me on something...
So the MP-201 can send LFOs (S+H, Tri, Square, etc.), CV Expression, can 'attenuate' these outputs (amplitude, rate, etc.), send them to 'multiple' (4) inputs and all live via a pedal PLUS has envelopes, MIDI and all that. So my question is...
What can the CP-251 let you do that the MP-201 can't??
Cheers!

Re: Multi Pedal/CP-251 Confusion
Not much! But the real answer is:
- 4-way Mult
- Mixer
- Lag processor (time delay between two voltages)
- analog white noise vs. Random # CPU generated noise (which makes a difference to some people ?!)
And of course, you can leverage many of the CP-251 features independently (more than the 4 'channels' of the MP-201); or you can combine a number of operators for more modular type integration. The MP is output only; it won't take a signal from CV gear but obviously (or not) WILL take Midi input in the form of Note On, Midi CC, Clock, etc.
The list of what the MP can do that the CP cannot is very long. I've got an MP and a VX-351 on my Voyager (which has a few of the CP's capabilities); Armed with these two, I won't be buying a CP; but depending on your needs, it may fit well with your gear list and interests.

Re: Multi Pedal/CP-251 Confusion
Ok, because that's the route that I was thinking...VX-351 (to grab the outputs from the VOS) and MP-201 (for the remaining infinite voltages that exist out there). Between those two, I was having trouble thinking of many other outputs (or needs for something like the CP-251) that I can route off into the ether... With all this power at your command, I believe that one can get quite a complex...and rule the universe!
Thanks for the help.
