Wow
I explored some functionality today and I must say that I had so much fun
that I forgot to eat the lunch and almost forgot the dinner! LOL
New envelope generator is super useful!
I programmed a delay presat that is like a whammy pedal but you just hit the switch. A Tremolo on ENG etc.
I also ran a sequencer from my computer and tune the ring mod and filter and is great to have a little modular synth instead of just running a guitar into it.
Tap tempo is working fine and One at a time mode is so great!!!! Its like you have a four ex.pedals, so is very much intuitive! You just set the parameters of what you need and your hands are free to play music!!!
Oh,and lag processor!
Hehe, I think Moog (Amos) did it again!

I uh, have been trying to get the MIDI - CV thing to work. Did not want to double post, but you are welcome to see my query in the MoogerFooger sub-form.

Bad new for me to!
I have the same problem. For two days now the update(MP-201) was working fine...no problems at all.
I was running a sequencer from my mac and no problem at all..No message from computer or anything else. I just unplugged everything and when I powered it up the LCD screen was blank.
Amos, what to do?

@ Vitja B....was your MP-201 still connected to the computer with a USB cable or via MIDI..?

Sorry....ok...i understand now.
Not connected at all....wow...that is a strange problem when it just happens suddenly.
Hope it doesn't happen to all users who upgrade...

Could I damage MP-201 with just a MIDI data from my mac?

Never had something damaged with just midi data....only if you are updating something with a sysex or sort of file and it is abrupted in the middle of it....then there is a chance that something gets damaged.
But mostly this can be solved with re-writing the firmware in a way....guess that will also be in your case.

Yikes!
I never saw this happen at any point during development. But, I work on a PC... don't know yet if that's a factor.
So, unit was connected via USB... power to unit was turned on and off at various times... usb was unplugged and unit was turned on "by itself" and then nothing on the LCD?
This is mysterious and troubling. I am looking into it.

That sounds remarkably like the problem I had last year. See this thread:
