I mentioned this in another area, but I would really NEED 1.5 octaves, because I'm not always just going to be using the Taurus for synth bass. I'd love to be able to velcro an expression pedal to the top right hand side of the unit, and be able to use it as a midi controller for my Hammond XK rig as well. Or using it to trigger samples from my M3-m when my hands are busy playing parts. That extra half octave would make a huge difference to me, and played a large role in my deciding to order a set.

I don't want to start having a bunch of different foot pedals lying around the house. If I can have one set that I can use in a variety of different situations, that's the way to go for me.

In the 'progress' video, the pedal board was 1 octave... I am really, really praying that it gets bumped up to 1.5...

Pretty sure this has been settled - specs say Taurus 1 style (meaning one octave, on the floor), and the prototype Amos is tweaking in the engineering video is one octave.

Fatar basically didn't seem to want to sell us the 1.5 octave pedal assembly... I don't remember the exact numbers but they wanted something like twice what we were quoted for the one-octave pedals... which would have jacked up the final price of the T3 by hundreds of dollars :( Plus, there is the weight factor... the T3 is no featherweight, even at only 1 octave. An extra half-octave's width of all the sheet metal parts, etc. would have added several more pounds to what is already a fairly massive beast.

Thanks for the explanation, Amos. :) Yeah, 1.5 octaves would have been WAY too heavy...
