Soon-to-be Voyager owner
Re: Soon-to-be Voyager owner
I don't think that would void your warranty, but Im glad that this is something that seems to be user fixable.

Thanks alot, Eric. That info would have been helpful *before* playing my Voyager after letting it warm up for a meager 42 mins 37 seconds and watcing it burst into flames before my very eyes... *sob*EricK wrote:Voyagers delivered to Duluth need to be burned in for 48 hours prior to depresing a key or the warranty will be voided and they will be prone to explosion.

Hows that Voyager/Rhodes combo working out?
I grew up with one of those in my house Micro/Rhodes, and my father recently gave me his blessing that I can bring the Rhodes to my place.
I've long since taken control of the micro.

Re: Soon-to-be Voyager owner
My Rhodes is not in the best condition, and have had the misfortune of going through a lot of hassle and lazy technicians to try to get it up and in shape. I'm having a guy over tomorrow who thinks he can straighten it out. It's been really frustrating for me, as I badly want to use it in my songwriting. Someone says they can fix it, but the problem is that everyone who says that happens to be a procrastinating slob, so I currently am using it as a desk.

That's ok, Kenneth. I had a lovely (though beat-up) organ once. I was going to fix it myself, but when I started parting it out after months of not being able to fix it, I discovered a cracked circuit board with three broken traces. It now serves as a workbench and parts source.

Kenneth, all this talk about getting the moog, you going to post a pic?
Re: Soon-to-be Voyager owner
I can post some pics if you're interested, but I have to warn you: the only camera I have at my disposal is the one on my iPod touch. It's pretty grainy, so I'm a little embarrassed.n2design wrote:Kenneth, all this talk about getting the moog, you going to post a pic?
