Little Phatty Stage 2 as an external instrument

Okay, so hopefully I titled this right. This is my first synth and my first time really getting to know how to use MIDI, so bear with me! Okay, so I've hooked up my SP404SX to my Little Phatty Stage 2 synth and it MIDIs perfectly fine, I have no trouble getting the SP404SX to sync to my synth. However, I'd like to use the Phatty as the drum machine. Basically, I want the samples to play on the keys of the synth. They actually already do when I set it on Channel 1 or 2, but the problem is that the Phatty preset sounds also play at the same time. So my question is, how do I get the Phatty to turn off the preset sounds so it only plays the SP404SX sample sounds? Any help?
