If you send me a PM with your email address, I will send on the Moog letterhead. But here is the text of the doc, with some rough formatting thrown in as to be readable.

LITTLE PHATTY TRIBUTE EDITION – OS v1.04

Hello and thank you for downloading operating system version 1.04 for the Little Phatty Tribute Edition. This OS update adds a new option which was not present in OS 1.03: EGR MATRIX: AUTO. This new option changes the behavior of the control panel buttons in the Envelope Generators section, and removes a certain background noise which some LP Tribute Edition users have found to be troublesome.

The background noise in question happens when the panel buttons in the Envelope Generators section are scanned by the LP’s processor. Previous OS revisions added the EGR MATRIX: OFF option, which completely eliminates this noise but also completely disables the Envelope buttons. The new AUTO mode is a useful compromise which removes as much noise as possible while allowing the maximum use of the panel buttons.

To enable this new mode, go to the MASTER menu and select SYSTEM UTILITIES. Press Cursor and scroll through the System Utilities menu using the Value knob, until you see EGR MATRIX. Press Cursor again and select EGR MATRIX: AUTO.

How to use EGR MATRIX: AUTO mode

When EGR MATRIX: AUTO is enabled, it changes the way the Envelope section buttons work. The Envelope section buttons are disabled, until you turn the Envelope knob. So, to switch which Envelope parameter is currently active, you must press and hold the desired Envelope parameter button, and slightly turn the Envelope knob. If you are pressing an Envelope section button while the Envelope knob is turned, the button you are pressing will become active. The knob movement will be applied to the new parameter (the one whose button you are pressing); the previously-active Envelope parameter value will not be modified by this operation. With practice, this should become an easy one-handed maneuver. If you are having trouble switching between Envelope parameters while in EGR MATRIX: Auto mode, be sure that you are pressing the desired Envelope button firmly while you turn the Envelope knob.

How to update your LP to OS version 1.04

Windows-PC: You need a MIDI interface connected to your computer, with the latest drivers for your MIDI interface installed. Connect your computer’s MIDI OUT to the Little Phatty MIDI IN. Run the application “LPTE_v104.exe.” Within this program, select your MIDI interface on the “Midi Devices” menu, and then click the button to install OS 1.04.

Macintosh: Not surprisingly, you also need a MIDI interface connected to your computer. Connect the computer’s MIDI OUT to the Little Phatty MIDI IN. I recommend you use the free program “SysEx Librarian” to send the update to your LP. SysEx Librarian can be downloaded from http://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian, where you can also find instructions on how to use it. Drag the file “LPTribute_v104.syx” onto SysEx Librarian, select your MIDI interface from the drop-down menu, and click Play to load the new OS. It should be that simple. If it isn’t, please contact amos@moogmusic.com.
