SP setup for Logic 9

Post by Logik1 » Sat Apr 21, 2012 1:21 pm

K I'm not sure what happened but I'm not receiving any MIDI info to the Phatty and I have no sound at all.

This is what I have:

1) MPK49 connected to Mac Pro via USB
2) Phatty connected to Mac Pro via USB
3) 1/4" out of Phatty to input of soundcard
4) In Logic > 1 Midi track with the editor loaded & 1 Mono audio track armed

Now from my understanding I should be able to trigger the Phatty with the MPK at this point and hear something... but I have no MIDI triangle on the Phatty display... It's gotta be something to do with the Midi routing.

If anyone can please help me through this I will be extremely grateful!!! At this point I honestly don't know what to do... :?

Hi, don't forget to record assign and select the Phatty MIDI track. Also make sure that you select "Slim Phatty" as the midi output for that track.

Through personal experience I've noticed that the USB connections don't always do what they're supposed to. Your best bet will most likely be MIDI via DIN instead of USB.
