Voyager's Mixer Out/Filter In Jack
Hi, does anyone know if the Mixer Out/Filter In Jack on the Voyager sends out line level or instrument level signals? I want to try using a effects pedal here but it requires an instrument level signal. Does everyone just plug their effects pedals directly from this jack or do you have to have something else in-between to convert/attenuate it to instrument level first?

Re: Voyager's Mixer Out/Filter In Jack
Just another question about this jack. In the manual it says the tip has the mixer output and the return signal is applied on the ring, however I noticed that my RME's mixer output is actually applied on the ring instead. I tested the cable to ensure it was labeled correctly and also plugged both the tip and ring TS sides into my pre to double check which one contained the mixer output. Additionally, I tested using the same cable on my friend's Voyager Keyboard and the mixer output was on the tip as expected. Is it supposed to be switched like this on the RME? Or did anyone else notice this type of behavior on their Voyager (RME or Keyboard version)?

Re: Voyager's Mixer Out/Filter In Jack
From my own experience with a Voyager Keyboard version, the "Mix Out/Filt In" jack works as described in the manual: signal out on tip, return signal on ring. And it worked with all my "guitar" effects pedals. You just have to adjust the mixer levels on the Voyager not to saturate the signal.
Why your RME sends the signal out on ring instead of tip is a mystery. Unless your cable wasn't inserted all the way in? Internally it breaks the signal flow from the mixer to the filters when a jack is inserted fully. Maybe someone else with an RME could check theirs?
Hope this helps a little...

Thanks thealien666! I double checked that the cable was fully plugged in there so the send is definitely going out on the ring.
For other RME owners, would you be able to kindly help double check to see if the send is going out on the tip or ring for you?
Thanks!
