Getting iPhone version of Animoog on my iPad
Getting iPhone version of Animoog on my iPad
I recently had to delete Animoog from my iPad when I was doing a complete restore. When I loaded it back in from iTunes it looks completely different. It looks just like my iPhone version of Animoog with the compacted modules. Is there anyway for me to get the original Animoog back on my iPad?

This is the same version I have on my new iPad, because I only purchased the iphone version a few months back... I'm wondering what the differences are - is it worth going for the full iPad version??

the main difference is you can get a larger number of keys on the screen, which is nice. functionally they are identical.
to the OP: might you have purchased the iPhone app by mistake when you thought you were re-downloading the iPad app? they have two separate pages on the iTunes store. If you already purchased the iPad version you should still be able to re-download it any time. I haven't tried putting both apps side by side on an iPad, but they have unique app IDs so it should work.

I was totally happy with the iPhone version til I had a problem with an iPad keyboard controller (Slide Control) being able to send midi to it. The midi input shows up in Slide Control but Animoog iPhone doesn't receive it. This made me wonder if, in fact, both versions ARE identical. I wish there was a feature comparison chart. Do you know if the iPad version is different in with regards to deign able to take midi in virtually between 2 iPad resident apps? Is iPhone version supposed to able to do this as well?

I own both the iPhone and iPad versions. 99 cents each at the time, why the heck not. When I bought the new iPad, I had to go ahead and uncheck the iPhone version for syncing w/my iPad. Otherwise the iPhone one would be the one I always had come up.
