Model D AB potentiometers
Does anyone have a source for the AB (Allen-Bradley) pots such as those found inside the Model D ?
Alternatively, can anyone recommend an equivalent replacement (very high quality) from other companies.
Before you ask, my own D (a superb machine) is doing very well thank you. The pots are for a Moog related DIY synth project.

I know Moog Music uses Alpha potentiometers in the Voyager.

Clarostats are almost exactly like the Allen-Bradleys. Expect to pay between 15 and 30USD for a single one, depending on vendor and how many you buy.

Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

And where to get them? I need 30-40, lots of money here at 15 a piece.
I am just back from an electronics house, the kind that sell surplus mostly. I managed to buy a set of 12 in the values I need, but these will only serve for prototyping. I want the best for the final product.

Clarostat (owned by Honeywell) purchased the Allen-Bradley variable resistor (potentiometer) business back in 1990.

Allright, thanks guys, something to follow through. The Honeywell name inspires confidence and the price is, well, not a deal breaker, much better anyway than those AB NOS military grade I found at $300 a pop.

Re: Model D AB potentiometers
These are the types I've used for years as replacements for Minimoogs and Moog modulars.
Most suppliers stock these linear taper types readily.
Audio taper and reverse audio tapers are harder to find.

You might also find these above at Allied Electronics for less.

Re: Model D AB potentiometers
Yes I have seen the flatkeys site. Nice guy, nice product, not too expensive, etc. etc. I appreciate the effort, definitely worth looking into. Unfortunately, according to one source, the product did not work quite right. I don't have an opinion either way but I'll try to find NOS as my first option.
