so I've managed to keep my voyager in mint condition.. until this recent move in with a fat ungainly cat that thought jumping up on the voyager was a splendid idea. Jackass. I've oiled the wood which helped a tad but its not terrible but its not great. so does anyone know what stain is on the mahogany cabinet in the select series? or should I email moog directly and try to figure out the best way to minimize the the scratches? Thanks for any help.. this just plain sucks.

Here lies Puppy a cat who is also a jackass. yes the cats name is puppy because he is like a dog and big and ungainly. Obviously.

I have cats and they have access to my studio, I found that putting just a little bit of some citrus smelling stuff, like "orange glow" on certain pieces of equipment keeps them away.... they can't stand it!

and I hardly notice the pleasent orange odor...

I dont let my cats into the studio.. More for the chewing of cables (they are rescues with not so great teeth) than for the jumping on gear... Once in a while when i feel bad, i'll let them explore, but not without a watchful eye...

Haha. There's probably a dog/synth fetish also, but a German Shepherd can hardly get on top of a Moog synth, unless it's a Polymoog ! But then, who would care ?

But as for chewing cables, meh, I wouldn't be surprised if it could do that also...

I live with the cat from Pet Semetary that is 40-eleven years old and refuses to die.

The voyager looks great with this scratch! Gives an authentic road worn touch.
If you don't want to sell your voyager, there is no need to keep it in mint condition (imo).
