Old School/Dark Time/CP-251

Post by tomorrowstops » Wed Dec 28, 2011 7:26 pm

Hey guys,

I'm trying to use the CP-251 to fine tune the pitch exchange between my OS and the Dark Time. Its working (ie - "C" on the OS keyboard is "C" on the DT; steps set to "0"), but its throwing the melody of my sequence out of whack (the pitch knobs on the Dark Time are no longer accurately changing the pitch per step).

Connections:

CV1 out DT - Pitch In OS
Gate1 out DT - Gate in OS

I'm using mono 1/8" male - mono 1/4" female adapters w/mono 1/4" patch cables. Is this screwing with the DT's output impedance? Should I be using cables with an 1/8" males on one end and 1/4" males on the other instead?

Does anyone know what the going rate is to send my OS to Moog to get the control voltage calibrated to a clean 1v/octave? I'd love to take the CP-251 out of the equation altogether. I'm getting a bit frustrated trying to do (seemingly) one of the most basic activities (sequencing) with this synth in its current state.

Thanks for your help in advance!

I had called about prices for some work. I think Rosser said the 1v/octave mod was $50.
