Old School logo position?

Post by bloodsample » Sun Nov 20, 2011 1:02 pm

I noticed some voyager old schools have the little minimoog logo in the center of the front panel and some have it on the far right. Is there any difference between these? What's the significance of this?

I know they're the same instrument and the logo probably doesn't matter but I was just curious.

Today is my birthday, and if anyone wants to give me their Voyager OS, that would be great!

Thought I'd ask...

Happy birthday :D

So I see you've got a memotron. What do you think of it ? Happy ? I'm thinking of getting one... maybe.

Thanks.

the logo on the right was a nod to the model d. Not sure when or why they changed the position

Edit: just remembered, I'm pretty sure the center position was the way moog sent it out from the factory and then people started moving them on their own.

Funny, I was just wondering the logo position question myself!

Yes, I'm curious about these as well- I've used a Mellotron in the studio before, and have always wanted one, but of course the price and the fact that it wouldn't be easy to transport to gigs made it an impossibility...

My OS came from the factory with the badge on the right. Maybe its just random...

My Voyager (not OS) came with a centered logo.
With the logo clipped of, it looks better.
