Halloween presets

Post by Newstech » Wed Nov 02, 2011 12:31 pm

Two days late and a dollar short, I just wanted to recommend the Halloween presets that are available on the Moog Music home page if you sign up for the newsletter. The paths in the shape of images are just gimmicky, but there's a really nifty range of sounds that are quite unlike the original preset bundle. Lots of setting tricks to learn from. This was a real treat. Thanks, MM.

There are some instructions within the PC zip file. But here's how I went about it using a PC.

1. Download Zip file to PC.
2. Extract all .preset files into a temporary folder.
3. Connect iPad to PC.
4. In iTunes, open the iPad, go to the Apps tab, go to the File Sharing section.
5. Select the Animoog app, then click Add, and navigate to your temp folder, select all the .preset files, and import them to the iPad.
6. Start Animoog, go to the System page, and choose Import Presets.

How convoluted. Is it possible to make in-app purchases free? Perhaps this would be a more user friendly way to distribute add-on or plug-in packages. Of course, Apple's policies seem to be part of the problem, and it seems like there would still be issues with moving audio in or out of the program...

Well, I have some apps where you can download instrument sample files for free in-app, so yes, it could be done. Dunno how complex. Of course, in this case, Moog Music wanted us to register on the web site in exchange for the treat.

Are these going to be posted somewhere? I signed up for the newsletter and didn't see the download link. I can't use them yet anyway since my Animoog still won't launch properly.
Digital is fun, but analog is king!

Hi all,

Anyone know if there's any way for Animoog enthusiasts to download these presets today? The link provided at the time has been overwritten with new content and the Halloween presets are nowhere to be found now. I'd like to get them myself and add them to the list of Animoog expansion packs here: http://animoog.org/database/expansion-packs/

Thanks :-) -- Alex
