Trouble updating to 3.5

Post by jvt » Wed Oct 26, 2011 12:43 pm

I'm attempting to update my Voyager from version 3.3 to 3.5 with no success. I've tried MidiOX on PC with an AMT8 interface and SysEx Librarian on my Macbook Pro with an E-Mu Midi1x1 USB interface. Even with the transmission settings tweaked, the update always seems to fail. For the record, I'm loading the files in the right order, but can't even get past the first file (BANK_B_350.syx). Can anyone offer any suggestions?

If the error you're getting is "out of memory", you need to increase the number of sysex buffers (in the "options") menu. I don't know the perfect settings but mine were set to 32 buffers of 256 bytes, and I just doubled it to 64 buffers of 256 bytes. Worked fine after that. Good luck!

Make sure the SysEX Device ID in the MASTER menu is set to 1.

To clarify about the buffers, this is in Midi-ox, not the Voyager. I think RL is talking about the "Master" menu in the Voyager, regarding the Sysex ID. Good luck!
