A polyphonic compared to a monophonic?
Apples and oranges, two very different machines. It makes no sense to make any comparision.

Why? Seems pretty logical to me, since we're not comparing the entire instruments against each other, but the Voyager and a single voice of the SE. I think the OP's logic is that if he can have polyphonic AND monophonic instead of just monophonic, why not go for it? And thus he's trying to find out whether a single SE voice cuts the mustard - a smart consideration I might've made myself. I do however think that, this being a Moog forum, he is requesting an objective answer from a pretty biased group of people.MC wrote:A polyphonic compared to a monophonic?

Not that I have anything to add, just my humble comment to the utter dismissal of the subject.

We might be biased in the sense that we all like Moog, but we're musicians first and foremost (or synthesists or electrical engineers) and will tell you if a Moog product will do the job or not.
Moog has a loud voice when it comes to synthesis, but certianly not the last word especially in the realm of polyponics.
