Bands that Use Moog

Hi there, I'm new around here. I just thought I'd chime in:

Both The Cars and Phish use the Moog Source, and I'm pretty sure Pink Floyd used them quite a good little bit too, although I'm not certain (I'm still a newbie when it comes to synths).

I just saw the Dandy Warhols in Minneapolis... Zia, the keyboard player, used a Prodigy on stage. (although it seemed that she played her Korg MS-20 more)

Hello everybody,

The Police used to play with Minimoogs and Taurus on stage and in studios.
On the records you can hear some Moog on the following songs:
Reggatta De Blanc album: Walking On The Moon and Does Everyone Stare
Zenyatta Mondatta album: Don't Stand So Close To Me intro with the Taurus1, and on almost every song you can hear keybord.

On stage, Sting started to play with one Taurus while playing the bass (and sing of course...) from april 79 'till december 79, then he added a Minimmog and a second Taurus. Andy Summers, the guitar player, also played with one Taurus and a Minimoog too at the beginning of 1980.

It's interesting to listen to gigs from the Police that took place in 1980 (Reggatta, then Zenyatta world tours). Moogs' sounds were everywhere, on almost every songs.

P. S. Don't know if this counts, but a note should be made of Joe Wooten (brother of Victor Wooten & Future Man from Bela Fleck & the Flecktones) making use of a Moog Theremin, MF 101, 102 & 103 at NAMM, '02. I wasn't there, but I bet he kicked some booty.

Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream used large Moog Modulars. Popul Vuh had one once; it went to Chris Franke of Tangerine Dream, IIRC. Larry Fast of Synergy and Peter Gabriel fame plays a Modular 15. Erik Norlander of current prog rock fame uses a large Moog Modular.

LED ZEP did also, i read somewhere that JPJ used it on at least a couple of songs, one being 'four sticks'.

Yes, the sound track of "A Clockwork Orange" was made by Wendy Carlos on his/her Moog Modular.

Vince Clarke uses Moogs, Mini, The source and modulars....

Piebald uses a Minimoog for sure. I believe they also used an Opus III and a Voyager, but not certain about these.
