Voyager Software Editor not reading sysex files. Help please
Hey, i just bought the Voyager Editor Software and licenced it but it wont read sysex files for me to load the preset banks i downloaded from this site. Is there something im missing? How do i load up the patch banks and presets i downloaded from this site into the Voyager software editor so it will reckognize them and then send them into the actual Voyager synth? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,
I have a copy of the editor and I don't recall it being able to handle sysex
banks. I could be mistaken however, I remember some time ago sending
SoundTower a note asking them to update the program so that it would read and export Voyager files to Sysex and Midi, as well as it's own
native format (.mvr & .mvl).
My own reasoning was so that those who don't have the editor can still open
bank files that are assembled and organized within the program.
Can't say I recall them implementing the additional file formats.
If you need to open the user sets posted on the MM site, a workaround would be to load the sysex bank into the Voyager using MIDI-OX (free utility), them dumping from the Voyager into the editor.

Hi-
Many Voyager banks in a SYSEX format found on the internet were made with Voyager's OS older versions. Loading them through the editor would require building special convertors and even then this would not guarrante a full compability winth OS2.5. We decided to save ourselves a trouble of answering questions like "What happened to my pitch?" and etc.
The Voyager bank available on the moog site can be automaticaly preloaded using the preload function in the MAC Editor. For PC users we made them available in the editor format here:
