Wtb : Mini model D keyboard assembly
Re: Wtb : Mini model D keyboard assembly
Hi Moog People, this is my first post here. Ive been checking out tech info and stuff like that.
Well I dont know if this'll help you but those keybeds are the same as some models of Hammonds.
I harvested one for parts to restore my mini, problem is finding one the right length, the one I got was shorter so it was only good for the mechanical parts like keys springs, contact feet.... Lots of people give those organs away...or you might go to an organ repair person and scoop one cheap. Who know you may get luck and find one the right length.
Adios

Re: Wtb : Mini model D keyboard assembly
For what it's worth, I have a complete Minimoog keyboard assembly here. (several actually.)
This one is equipped with my OptoKey optical key scanning and both MIDI in and MIDI out.
I might have to rebush it, but could do that also.
However an OptoKey runs $595 by itself.
I could waive the $150 OptoKey installation, but the bushings, action and keys all have value too.
Along with packing, shipping, the 4 hardware spacers you'll need, along with the mounting hardware, you could end up spending a lot on a Mini keyboard action.
True, it would have some simple MIDI and not screw up like many stock actions, but it would still sell for a lot. (over $800, I'd guess.)
