Same problem for 3 years now HELP

Post by TJR » Sat Sep 24, 2011 1:58 am

Hi there, hopefully Amos can help me out. I gave up on my LP Stage 1 a few years back because nobody could figure out the problem.

I bought mine brand new, everything worked flawlessly. When OS 2.0 came out I updated the FW and that's when the issue started and hasnt been fixed.

No matter how many time I upload OS 1.03 or 2.21 the same problem exists.

Sounds crazy, but I can ONLY get patches to work when it's in 2 pole. Even then it makes a scratchy distorted sound that's very unpleasant to the ears. If I switch to 1, 3 or 4, no sound at all, throughout all the presets.

ANYBODY EVER heard of this problem? Driving me mad cause all I use this $1000 (at the time) synth for is a midi controller.

PLEASE HELP : )

I'm sorry, man. I haven't heard of that problem, nor do I know anything about problem solving. I hope you get it fixed. :(

I would contact moog support by phone. I would guess you are going to need to send it in for service.

I'm in Los Angeles, would I have to send to North Carolina? That's my concern, spending all this money to get it fixed + it's gone down in value a lot, almost not worth it. Bummer but I may have to face reality and take my losses.

I swear, I must be the only one ever with this filter pole problem haha... of all the old analog synths I've bought and used, it was the brand new one that would fail me, go figure.

Call support and see if there is someone local they would recommend. If it has to go to Ashville, I would think a couple hundred, to get it there, fixed, and back. Did the failure occur durring the warranty period?

I believe so but my life was so busy back in 2008 I just never got around to calling them or properly taking care of it..

I will call them though, thank you
