Moog Taurus I for $2750?
Yikes, there's a BIN price of $2,750 on Ebay! Makes the $1200 BIN I socred a couple months ago look unreal. And mine isn't modified like his.
What's up with the Model 205A? Were there more model numbers and what was the difference. Mine's a 205A and the serial number is 3005. The Ebay Taurus is 2049. Would that make mine around 1977? Any thoughts?

"A" is the revision, AFAIK there weren't any other revisions. The Minimoog model number is 204D, "D" being revision "D" that everyone calls "model D".
That's a LOT of money for non-mint pedals (drilled holes in the arms).
Mine are excellent no mods no holes, serial #1447 made in 1976. There should be a yellow inspection tag inside the pedals with a date on it.

I'm in shock! I was going to bring up the set for sale at the link below, but they're gone. They were asking 5k!!! Looks like they have another set they're getting ready for sale. Here's your chance to blow 5k folks. This shop obviously spends a lot of time on this stuff, but their target market is wealthy folks which is not me at this point.

Thanks MC, I guess mine are up around 1980 then. I need to score a manual.....I'm not even sure how get the front to release so I can open it up.

When it rains, it pours. Another one listed:

The other guy took down his $2750 BIN and just has the starting bid at $2500.

Those are missing the window over the controls and the rubber things for the foot sliders. Those have been gigged, I can see road wear on the unit. Lot of money for non-mint pedals.
Those are an early set, like mine. They used two kinds of badges on the rear panel; "MOOG" is outlined letters with solid "O" on these, while later sets "MOOG" is all solid letters.

There's been a few sets sold recently on Ebay, the cheapest was $2300 but missing the window, etc. But the nice ones are going for between $2500 and now 3k. I think there's been 5 sets sold like this in the last couple months. The latest one just ended here:

There's a lot of people bidding on them too. I think there's a strong but small market out there for these despite the fact that some people don't. This small market could still consist of maybe 750 people willing to pay $1500 or more for these, especially with a little promotion.
