no sound output from slim phatty!

i just purchased a slim phatty, and after opening it plugged in my headphones
i tried the test tone in the master but it doesnt seem to output any sound.
i tried rebooting, i tried leaving it on to warm up
i have connected it to multiple amps headphones and different connections,
i am aware of the output on off switch and i have tried toggling it as well as adjusting the volume.
when i plug in a midi keyboard into the sp it appears to recieving a signal as the play button appears on the screen however there is still no sound.
is there some thing i am missing in order to hear sound from the headphone and/or output jacks?

nope, the only thing you're missing is sound! It should work like you expected, right out of the box. Something isn't right with that one.
My sincere apologies, contact the seller first and techsupport at moogmusic.com second, if the seller can't just swap it out for you.

I just unboxed mine and did the same u did, and there's no sound coming from the SP as well.

Im from Brazil and i had to buy it from USA, it took 2 months to get here, and now what??

OMG, i'm so happy, the SP is working!!!

Here's what i did following the instructions from the tech support:

*Press Master and scroll to System Utilities
*Press Cursor and scroll to Restore Factory
*Press Enter and select Yes

After doing that, in master mode, go to "play note" and test it.

I was so afraid of pushing that button and not hear a thing, but then that marvellous sound came out and i was so reliefed.

Just bought one yesterday (Slim Phatty) same problem. No sound. It recieves midi data over USB (little play icon, and I can change parameters) but produces no sound, neither in line out or headphones. Factory restore - no go. It's 3.12. Gave it back to shop and waiting for a replacement / fix. This in Norway.

I am having the same exact problem ! I just tried system utilities factory reset but that did not work I get the same with when pressing my midi keys I see that the sp is getting the signal because the little arrow flashes when striking the keys on my midi controller which is the axiom 25 !! PLEASE HELP SOMEONE !!! I just bought it unboxed it and the above prob NO F'n SOUND !!!!! WTF!!!

A rather late reply here, but from servicing a couple of these by now, it seems a plausible cause could be that there is a missing connection between the boards. It´s a tight fit for the I/O card carrying the jacks, and it can come loose on assembly, and possibly during rough transport. Pushing the connectors together resolved the issue.
