Little Phatty Glitch.
Little Phatty Glitch.
Hi people!
Just have this weird issue with my Phatty, when i plug it into my mixer board or any mixer board in-fact, after a few minutes the lights around the knobs like the filter and LFO etc, start moving automatically and glitching and flashing, i have no idea what causes's this.
It doesn't do it when its not hooked up to any mixer or anything and when i use it with headphones, it also sounds like it goes out of tune as well as the lights flickering around. Any idea what the issue could be?
Please help!

Re: Little Phatty Glitch.
Sounds like a grounding issue. I had an effect pedal do a similar trick with my lp. Make sure everything in the chain is well grounded. There are some other solutions that have been mentioned here before that I'm not 100% on.
If you can't get it cleared up contact moot support by phone or email, they are a great help.

Thanks for that man!, i'm wondering how would i ground my little phatty? everything else is well grounded, so it looks like im gonna need to have a word with the Moog team.Sir Nose wrote:Make sure everything in the chain is well grounded.
Re: Little Phatty Glitch.
Try plugging it into the same outlet as the mixer.
Re: Little Phatty Glitch.
As long as the lp is plugged into a 3-prong outlet where the round pin in the outlet is actually hooked up to a ground point the lp is grounded.
The "possessed" behavior often results when a stray voltage in another piece of gear finds the best path is to travel up the audio cable and through the lp's ground.

Did you contact Moog? If so, what did they say?
