Hey,
I'm trying to trigger my Minimoog with the Roland RS-09. I'm doing this in order to send the RS-09 through the filter section of the Minimoog.
My problem is that the Minimoog supposedly accepts +5V gate inputs, but the Roland RS-09 is giving me readings of 13V (mostlikely a theoretical 14V). So obviously, it doesn't work.
When both are connected, and external gate is on, the gate is open when it should be closed waiting for a signal from the RS-09. When a key is pressed, nothing changes. It's when I release that the triggering occurs, but that's probably due to the faulty voltage and something messy happening inside the Minimoog.
Is there any way to re-configure the gate output of the RS-09? or any other solution to this problem?
Appreciate the help!
Gate Voltage Issue Minimoog + Roland RS-09
Re: Gate Voltage Issue Minimoog + Roland RS-09
Anyone else have similar gate issues or knowledge they could discuss that might be of some help to me? Would making a simple attenuator help or resolve this issue?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Gate Voltage Issue Minimoog + Roland RS-09
Are you talking about a Model D or a Voyager?
I believe the Model D uses S-Triggers.
I believe the Model D uses S-Triggers.

Resolved with a homemade 10K Pot attenuator.
