Selling my Moog Voyager. Not in the best of shape as the drummer left burning cigarette on the top and there was some damage. Internal filters are mostly burned along with 90% of the oscillators and wiring. Half the keys are not workable and it does not turn on. Do not plug in as it sparks inside and may start a fire. Inside is much more damage than outside. No longer produces sound. Some of the knobs are still somewhat salvageable, however.

Regardless a great gem for anyone who can appreciate true analogue sound. Nothing sounds like a Voyager, truly one of the strongest synths of it's time and still stands up as one of the greatest analogue synths ever made. A treat to play and sounds like nothing else.

$1,200 FIRM. Pickup only.

$1200 for that?!

Haha! I'd buy it for $50 and just have it as an ornament.

I would buy it. I would just get a couple oscillator modules, maybe a filter, VCA and EG so I could bypass the sound engine.

Burning cigarette?

Bollocks! Not with that kind of damage. The only flammable component is the wood and it would take FAR more than a cigarette to set that wood aflame.

Someone doused it with a liquid combustible (probably lighter fluid) and set a match to it. I've known vindictive significant others who have done such things.

The fire damage is on the side where the analog board resides and it will never make sound again. It's a complete loss, no way can this thing be salvaged.

That CL seller is on crack.

Hi Timmy,

thanks a lot for your CSI-type investigations herewith. I was prepared to do a reply (offering an undertaker firm) but now I stopped any actions.
Thanks again.

You should see the 'modular' that was 'burned' for the same video. It was a very good model and a really good job of making it looked like it burned.

a coworker exclaimed to me that he found a CL listing from some woman claiming she was dumping a "Moog Mini" or "mini something" that her ex-husband left in the garage. And she just wanted it gone... for $140. The pic she included in the listing was a 3D rendering of that dancing baby.

Yep. That's a legitimate listing. 8)

This might say something about me but I get the same feeling from looking at this as I do from looking at a picture of a corpse.

(then again, I get a similar feeling from looking at brand new Voyagers as I do from looking at pictures from Playboy).
